I know you are confused - so was I.
"My Story" of Making
Predictions
The main reason I began studying
Vedic astrology is because I saw the amazing predictive power built into the
system itself. Not only was there a precise timing system (the dasa cycles),
but there was also an entire 27 - fold zodiac existing behind the regular
"sign" zodiac.
i thought, "wow, with all of that
information, I will be able to make really good predictions". But not so
fast. I soon discovered that more is not always better, unless the information
is well organized.
Information Overload?
So why aren't more astrologers
good at making predictions anyway? Well, because the more choices you have to
sort through - the more potential there is for error and for placing too much
importance on things that are not relevant to the issue itself.
FOR EXAMPLE:
There is almost no connection between a planet producing something and
producing something GOOD - that we enjoy. They are totally UNrelated
astrologically.
Meaning, the things that indicate whether or not we actually GET THE THING WE WANT (or think we want at the time) have no connection to whether or not we are going to like it, want it, appreciate it, learn from it - etc.
There are 4 possibilities:
1. You get the thing you want and like it.
2. You get the thing you want and do not like it.
3. You do not get the thing you want and like it.
4. You do not get the thing you want and do not like it.
This Fatal Error
Knowing the difference between these factors is what will ALLOW YOU
to see astrology (and your life) beyond the useless GOOD AND BAD so often
proffered by astrologers. You need to know how to separate these things so you
can better delineate What Happens and Why.
~ Ripening of Karmas - 4 Pillars
In Vedic Astrology Dasa cycles, karmas are
produced based on the planet as a:
A: Karaka
B: House Ruler
C: Dispositor of a Planet in its Rasi
D: Dispositor of a Planet in its Nakshatra.
There is no hierarchy in the above list. You need to look for a confluence of
factors to see what the most prevalent issues will be:
KEY: Pay close attention to when a Dasa/Bhukti cycle lines up with the
Bhukti planet ruled by the Mahadasa planet. For example: A Mercury / Jupiter
cycle with Jupiter in Mercury's sign or Nakshatra will be very active for
showing major changes relative to what is indicated.

Testimonials From The Advanced Course on the Ripening of Karmas
The course itself was very intensive, practical because you taught the fundamentals of what it takes to read a complete chart on a more advanced level. This required you to cover an enormous amount of Vedic Astrology material in just a few days. However Sam, you always made yourself available to your students for questions, even the mundane and fundamental ones as well.
I so look forward to taking more courses from you in the future.
Many Blessing to you, your friend and student,
Wende Goodman”
